Michigan vs. Georgia, updates, highlights from the 2021 College Soccer League semifinals

This is the season that Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines have been waiting for.

They ultimately beat rival Ohio State for the first time since he became the new head coach, and won the Big Ten. Now, #2 Michigan finds itself in the College Soccer Playoffs and faces its biggest challenge of the season, #3 Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

9:44 pm: Michigan is ranked third and outshines Georgia. The Wolverines will begin their journey in their own 40s after returning from 16-yard AJ Henning.

9:39 pm: McNamara broadcasts it to the end zone, but it completely fell into the hands of Kendrick of Georgia, who made his second intercept of the game. Georgia will receive the ball on its own in the 20th minute.

9:37 pm: Facing 3 and 7, JJ McCarthy hit an All up in the middle with a short finish and tight finish that took it 10 yards for the first.

9:32 pm: Now Haskins has a big run to the right to get 19 points to keep the Wolverines moving.

8:45 p.m., Georgia’s scoring game: Bennett’s pass to Ladd McConkey was caught, but missed his first Michigan goal 11. Podlesny scored his second goal of the night, this one from 28 yards. Georgia took the lead 20-3.

8:43 pm: Trade the big plays. After Michigan got a great game on its last drive, Georgia reacts to Bennett’s finding Cook along the line for 53 yards to jump right back into the red area at Wolverine’s 15-yard line. .

8:27 p.m., Georgia’s scoring game: Michigan ended up stopping in third when Bennett’s pass to John Fitzpatrick drifted out of the hands of the tight finisher. Jack Podlesny hit a shot from 43 yards to surpass Georgia’s third-goal record. Georgia extended the score to 17-0.

8:26 pm: Bennett then rose by 20 in a scramble to move the Bulldogs to Michigan 27.

8:25 pm: McIntosh gives Georgia a third down fourth conversion of the day with a four-meter midfield dash. The Wolverines were unable to get the Bulldogs off the field.

8:20 pm: Bennett found George Pickens, his first reception of the day, with a nine-yard profit to send the Bulldogs down to Georgia 41 for the first time.

8:11 pm: Nakobe Dean tells why he’s a 2021 Butkus Award winner. He caught up to Blake Corum two yards behind the script line on a pass to force Michigan to beat. Fair was caught by Kearis Jackson at the 24-yard line in Georgia.

8:09 pm: Michigan took the first point, with McNamara finding Daylen Baldwin in third and fifth with a six-yard pass.
