Mandy Lynn Delahoussaye, 47, has passed away


Mandy Lynn Delahoussaye died on December 30 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, La. She is the daughter of retired jockey Eddie Delahoussaye, who was inducted into the National Racing Hall of Fame in 1993. Eddie Delahoussaye serves as a trustee with the Louisiana Racing Commission and on its board of directors. Director of the Edwin J. Gregson Foundation.

The Martin & Castille-Southside Funeral Home in Lafayette will hold a visitation on January 4 at 1 p.m. CT, followed by a 2 p.m. memorial service at Martin & Castille’s La Fleur de Lis Chapel. Deacon Cody Miller will officiate the memorial service. A private funeral will be held later at the Holy Family Cemetery and Tomb in New Iberia.

Delahoussaye is survived by her parents, Eddie and Juanita Delahoussaye; her brother, Loren Delahoussaye, and his wife, Rachel; her grandson, Luke Austin Delahoussaye; Her aunt, Rose Anne Delahoussaye, and uncle, Edwin Paul Delahoussaye.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Shriners Hospital, or St. Jude under the name of Mandy Lynn Delahoussaye.
