Seriously, we can’t stop thinking: “Who would do such a thing?”
But here it is. Matt Williamson, a Hinds County, Mississippi resident, was looking for his dogs near a creek when he made something completely unexpected and very disturbing.
Two puppies were abandoned in the aquarium – Its lid is closed.
“I could see these eyes staring at me and they looked like they needed help,” Williamson said. News 16WAPT. “They sent them here to drown,” he said of whoever did this. “They want these puppies to drown.”
Williamson called the authorities and the puppies were brought in Mississippi Animal Rescue Leaguewho are treating them with great care and love.
“We think they are a bit wild (and) unaccustomed to human handling. They’re running a fever, about 103, or so. Our standard procedure is to put them in a quiet place, number one is their temperature, and number two is their stress level,” MARL Director Debra Boswell told 16WAPT news.
Clearly frightened, the two puppies huddled together, one holding the other with its paws, as if trying to protect it from all the newcomers.

The pups have since been adopted and are living a happy, full life! Now, for these two deserving dogs, life is a beach!
