Man points gun at Argentina vice president’s face in ‘assassination plot’ World News
A man pointed a pistol at the vice president of Argentina in what was described as a targeted assassination.
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was threatened outside her home in Buenos Aires – but she was unharmed and no shots were fired.
Hundreds of protesters have gathered there in recent days to support the former president, who is on trial for corruption.
An armed man was arrested nearby and a weapon was found a few meters from the scene, according to a police spokesman.
According to local reports, the gun was loaded.
