Making your own earrings is a fun way to create some wearable art that you can completely customize to anything that suits your taste!
I love the chrysanthemum trend that is all the rage right now and I think this summer is a great time to create my own DIY daisy earrings.
If you’ve never used epoxy resin before, you’ll be shocked at how easy the process is—and how quickly you’ll create daisy earrings for yourself and your friends.

First, you’ll want to mix a small amount of turpentine so that the yellow part of the flower can be created (though you can use any color you want yourself). Pour about 3 teaspoons of Part A into your cup (just eyeballs) and then add 3 teaspoons of Part B to your cup.
The kit recommends wearing gloves when pouring turpentine, but I’m pretty good at pouring small amounts cleanly so I didn’t.
Take your acrylic paint and add a small amount and mix together until you get the color you like.
A small, flexible cup allows you to clamp the top edge of the cup to create a spout, but be sure to wipe off any drips with a paper towel after each pour.
Or, you can use a disposable pipette, which is great for getting turpentine into small molds without overflowing the mold.
I carefully pour the yellow resin over the small flowers then the bottom of the large flower and leave them overnight (or test your sap to see how long it takes to dry).
Next, I repeated the process of pouring 3 teaspoons each of parts A and B into the cup and adding liquid glitter and mixing it all together. Less glitter will make it more visible and more will make it look more opaque.
Let the mold dry completely before removing the pieces.
Once your pieces are dry, connect the two shapes to a loop of wire using the small pliers to open and close the jump ring (the mold should have small posts in each shape that make a hole so you can connect them). join them later).
Once the pieces are connected, attach your earring post to the back of the small flower with some super glue and let the glue stick completely before wearing. Once it’s dry, it’s time to show off your new earrings!
Aren’t they cute? And acrylics like these are pretty light, so they don’t feel like a heavy earring (although they’re a good size).
You can completely customize them to any color you like just by changing the paint or glitter color (and you can also add sparkles and paint together!)
