LVMPD executes search warrant in connection with Tupac Shakur . murder
Nearly 28 years, the death of the rap icon Tupac Shakur has not been resolved. However, it seems likely that Las Vegas Metro Police investigators may have caught a case – at least enough to issue and execute a search warrant on a local home.
8 News Now first reported on the story, saying that the LVMPD had confirmed an arrest warrant against them. Meanwhile, ABC News published their statement.
“LVMD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing investigation into the Tupac Shakur murder. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Although the home was searched Monday night, police remained tight-lipped about any findings, including possible suspects. The home searched is believed to be near Interstate 11 and Wagon Wheel Drive. No arrests have been announced.

What We Know About Tupac Shakur’s Murder
Tupac’s murder has influenced countless works of art, including movies, shows, documentaries, and even conspiracy theories about him being still alive.
But for truth, we know Tupac Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996, after witnessing Mike Tyson fight at a Las Vegas casino. Bullets struck him as he left the location, and the gunman driving was able to flee the scene. The identity of the shooter has not yet been found.
Although he initially survived the shooting, the hip-hop legend passed away at the hospital six days later on September 13. He was only 25 years old.
Shakur is less than a decade into his prolific acting and musical career. He took to the stage in 1990 after joining an Oakland-based rap group called Digital Underground.
Tupac Shakur appeared in two projects with the group before making his solo debut with 2Pacalypse Now in 1991. The following year, he was cast in the film Juice and his justice poetry The role came in 1993.
