Grand Touring is located on the upper level of the Airline formationplaced above Pure and Tourismbut below the absolutely insane $250,000 Air Sapphire. Still, the Grand Touring delivers 819 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque, more than enough for anyone who isn’t too nervous. It’s definitely not cheap either. Air GT starts at $111,475, including destination, and uses a 112 kWh battery pack.
Along with the additional heat pump flowing down from Jade – which insight said to significantly enhance cold weather coverage – Lucid also made some changes to the its extremely compact electric motor design, battery chemistry and thermal characteristics. Combined, they enable more intense activity for longer periods of time. Above all, insight says the Grand Touring will charge 15 to 30 percent faster than before with the help of improved battery pre-conditioning on the way to the charger.

It’s certainly a funny coincidence that the 516-mile range is returned after all these changes. Rawlinson – jokingly – told me he wished the actual number was a little different so it would be easier to see how things had really changed. I’m sure he’s happy with the results, no matter what.
