London… one of my favorite places. Great friends and colleagues, and a ride I don’t take for granted (or any ride for that matter) with a roller coaster in the last three years. Nice to work again with Nikon School UK 24th November and introduce a brand new two-day portrait workshop. We’ll be in a great location in London, with great talent, such as trotting around the globe. Amber Tutton, above, in the banner photo. Wanted to give people the opportunity to experiment more with pre-planning, lighting and working with models. The two-day format gives you the freedom to experiment and then change things up the next day and have more time to create placement solutions, both interior and exterior. The point It’s going fast because we’re going to have a small class. Registration link.
Designated as a master class, we’ll actually start before the location via a zoom chat session. The class will focus on virtually one session, and we will plan goals, review existing portfolios, and fully describe the intentions of the two-day core class. . The broad strokes of light will be discussed and put into practice, as well as nuances and details.
A small class allows individual attention – the slogan of the workshop. The two-day experience allows all participants time to edit, then display the first day’s work at the beginning of the second day. The critique session will begin on the second day of the workshop, and then we’ll engage in another full day of photography. The goal was to really raise the bar on the creative and technical fronts, and two days allowed that to happen.
I love going to the UK, it’s very special for me because that’s where I decided to become a photographer. I was in London as a student, photographing street fairs, children and the like. A great start, in an incredible city. I never forget that and take any chance I can to be there.
