The Longines World Racing Awards 2022, organized by the Swiss watch brand Longines and the International Equestrian Federation, honors the Longines World’s Best Racehorse and the Longines World’s Best Equestrian Championship of the season. 2022. Winners will be announced starting at approximately 9:15 a.m. ET, Tuesday, January 17.
The live event took place at Banqueting House in London. This year marks the 400th anniversary of the building, one of the historic royal palaces and the only surviving part of the lost Whitehall Palace.
The top rated horses in the Longines World Best Horse Ranking and the Longines World Best Horse Race 2022 will be revealed and held. The Longines World Best Racehorse rankings are established by international competitors based on horse performance in the top races. The highest rated race is determined by averaging the rankings of the four first placed horses.
This is the 10th honor ceremony of Longines World’s Best Horse Race and the 8th time Longines World’s Best Horse Race will be honored. The winning horse’s connections will be presented with an elegant Longines watch and a replica of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse vase. Longines World’s Best Equestrian Connectors will also be awarded a watch and a replica of the trophy representing a proud horse head.
In addition, the annual IFHA list of the top 100 group/ranked races will be published, as will the rankings for all horses around the world ranked 115 and above. A full list and more information on the Longines World Best Racehorse Ranking will be available on IFHA’s website.
