But the chic look made a surprising comeback in 2018 when the Internet convinced Givenchy’s tailor-made dress Meghan Markle worn to her royal wedding to Prince Harry was inspired by Lopez’s dress in the 2001 rom-com.
“I get a lot of messages about Meghan Markle’s wedding dress,” said the film’s costume designer Pam Chilton told The glamor in 2019. “I’m like, ‘Well, I’m sure that’s a coincidence.’ But she was at an age of romantic comedy when the movie came out — she could have watched it in her sleep!”
