Launch of DYPTIQUE fall fragrance: The Earth Rules


Every holiday season, my father gives everyone in the family a gift of perfume. He is a DIOR “Eau de Sauvage” man. If you remember the perfume, it is a scent from the 1960s with a distinctive green citrus scent. When I walk into a perfume shop in Paris, I feel nostalgic. The gift of perfume evokes memories of a person, a place, or perhaps a time. Perfumes are more than just their appearance. Perfumes create moments that are stored in our memories.

DYPTIQUE sets the pulse of fall 2024

As the summer flowers begin to fade, I search for something to celebrate the changing of the seasons. From summer flowers to the woody scent of a forest to the rocks along the shore, MONOPOLY never fails to capture the changing seasons through fragrance. So for those new to the world of Dyptique, this fragrance collection is quintessentially French. As one of the first ‘boutique’ scents to hit the fragrance market, the brand continues to inspire and surprise perfume lovers.

Dyptique Brand Story

The first store opened in 1961 at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. Three friends from the world of fine arts and decoration, Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Gautrotand and Yves Coueslant were partners. They displayed and sold their own original upholstery fabrics in the store that you can visit today on Boulevard St. Germain. In fact, they named a perfume after the store itself. Their unique and quirky perfume house ushered in the golden age of boutique perfumery in the 1960s when traditional perfumes dominated the market, most notably CHANEL No 5. Their background in interior design also inspired their home fragrance category. Their refillable biodegradable line was created to address their concern for the planet and brought the collections into the new world of the 21st century.

Fall 2024 Fragrance Collection: Inspired by the Elements of Nature

The new ‘DYPTIQUE Essence’ is described as “Deep in the heart of nature, scentless treasures capture the imagination and stir the senses”.

Diptyque’s essence brings life to Coral, Pearl, Bark, Water Lily and arid Desert Rose.

A set of five natural masterpieces in recyclable and refillable glass bottles, featuring a label-free design, then topped with a chic black snap cap made of bakelite, a classic plastic that is fully recyclable. Each fragrance is inspired by nature but based on classic aromatic ingredients with a decidedly modern point of view. These fragrances can be worn individually or, if you wish, feel free to combine them to create your own signature scent.

CORAL – ‘Corail Oscuro’ is a mineral and floral fragrance.

PEARL – ‘Lunamaris’ a perfume whose main ingredient is Amber Spice

WATER FLOWER – ‘Liliphea’ has a fragrance based on Amber Green or Verte

BOIS CORSE – Amberwood Fragrance ‘Boisee Ambree’

DESERT ROSE – ‘Florole Herperidee’ a perfume with main ingredients of rose and citrus
