Kurt Scoby Defeat Hank Lundy in two
By: Sean Crose
Hammerin Hank Lundy stepped into the ring at Sony Hall in New York on Thursday night hoping to turn back time. Nearly forty years old, the famous veteran boxer put his 34-13-1 record ahead of 19-0 undefeated Kurt Scoby. The junior welterweight match is scheduled for eight innings. Scoby tied up his men as soon as the opening bell rang. He then started attacking Lundy with malicious intent.
By the second half, it was clear that Lundy had taken the lead. The match hadn’t gone on for six minutes and he had eaten a lot of skin. A pair of strong right hands pushed Lundy down onto the mat. He got up and fought back deftly, but in an instant Scoby knocked his men down. It was an impressive performance for the young man, and perhaps the end of the older man’s career. Lundy never had a chance. Scoby, on the other hand, looks pretty impressive.
