The life of Venus & Serena’s father Richard Williams is the subject of Will Smith’s new King Richard biopic. The film is about a father’s sacrifices to ensure his daughter becomes a star.
Well MTO News has some sad news about the current state of Richard’s life – he is teetering on the brink of homelessness because of his foreclosure. It was King Richard’s signature Florida home, where he moved first in Orlando.
And so far, It seems his daughters Serena or Venus are preparing to sponsor their father.
According to Richard, his ex-wife (not Venus and Serena’s mother, but the younger woman he married after her) forged his name on a deed in order to move the fully paid house into his name. Miss. Richard said she then mortgaged the property without his permission.

And it’s not just any old mortgage. Richard testified in court that his ex had taken money from a “money shark” on bad terms. She is said to have used the money to start a truck company that failed shortly after opening.
MTO News confirmed that the lender is currently squeezing the debt. Payments were not made on time and the home is currently being sold as part of a foreclosure auction on February 21.
