Despite spending most of his career at the 140-pound ultralight limit, Mario Barrios is extremely confident in his ability to adapt to the newly formed lightweight home.
Although he has suffered from weight problems, Barrios considered moving 7 pounds north several times in 2021. In the end, the 26-year-old chose not to participate in the Korean weight division. and instead, try to return to the blast, but smaller, Gervonta Davis. The two clashed on June 26, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta Georgia in front of a sold-out crowd with Barrios claiming his 140-pound “Regular” WBA title.
Although the San Antonio, Texas-born player proved to be tough, in the end he was overwhelmed and overwhelmed, hitting the deck several times before suffering the first defeat of his career. I passed round 11.

The 33-year-old spent much of the latter part of his career shrinking due to injury. During his most recent appearance in the ring, which took place in July 2019, Thurman, like Barrios, also suffered the first defeat of his career. However, his will be in the hands of the future First Voting Chamber Manny Pacquiao.
At one point, Thurman was considered by most to be the division’s number one boxer. However, despite his previous thoughts, Barrios showed a great deal of confidence. However, in Thurman’s opinion, he believed that the arrogance Barrios displayed was only for show. Deep inside, the former player unitedly asserted that Barrios was fully aware of what was to come later tonight.
“He knew about garbage,” says Thurman. “Hands up, defend yourself all the time because he’s going to be eliminated from F.”
