At RM97,800, 2023 Kawasaki Z H2 SE hyper naked sports officially launched in Malaysia. Prices do not include road tax, insurance and registration and are available in two color options – Graphene Steel Matte Metal Gray and Ebony Metallic Matte Black.
The Z H2 SE will hit the showrooms of Authorized Kawasaki 4S Dealers by the end of June 2023. Powered by a 998 cc, inline four-cylinder, twin-turbocharged engine powering the Kawasaki H2H2R and H2SX, Z H2 SE have a capacity of 200 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and 137 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.
The six-speed transmission is equipped with power assist and a non-slip clutch with chain drive that sends power to the rear wheels. Z H2 SE also has upgraded suspension and brake components compared to the original Kawasaki H2.
In terms of suspension, Z H2 SE receives Showa Skyhook semi-active electronic suspension, including Showa SFF-CA forks and Showa BFRC single shock absorbers with Kawasaki Unitrak acceleration shock absorbers at the rear. In addition to being able to adjust to the driving modes, the suspension also adjusts itself during the ride to provide a more comfortable feeling.
In the brake department, Brembo Stylema Monobloc brake calipers and Brembo master cylinder (original H2 comes with Brembo M50 Monobloc brake calipers) are combined with twin 320 mm discs up front. The rear brake remains the same with a 260 mm diameter disc and a single-piston caliper.
As for driver aids, the Z H2 SE features an inertial measurement unit controller (IMU) that controls the Kawasaki Intelligent Braking System (KIBS) and Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). Also part of the IMU’s arsenal is cruise control, Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM), Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) and three riding modes.
