Joshua’s career could end with another defeat for Usyk
Michael Bisping has warned Anthony Joshua that he could look down the retirement bucket with a defeat in his next bout.
The former UFC champion must once again consider a rematch between England’s Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, with just over a week left until the rematch on August 20.
Usyk, the undisputed former heavyweight champion, dethroned Joshua through a unanimous decision last September to win the WBA Super, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
The two met at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia, with the fight being Exclusive live broadcast in the UK and Ireland on Sky Sports Box Office after the broadcaster paid a staggering £23 million for the rights.
And Bisping, who has kept gold in the middleweight category while fighting in the octagon, has told Joshua it might be time to hang up his gloves if he loses once again to Usyk, the man who is ‘Earl’ believe that will win again.
On his Youtube ChannelBisping says:
“If Joshua wants to continue to be one of the best, to go down in history as the best British boxer we’ve ever had and to be world champion, then he has to win the fight. this.”
The battle is a pivotal moment in Joshua’s boxing career and victory could set up an undisputed clash with longtime rival Tyson Fury, should ‘The Gypsy King’ not decide to continue the clash The proposed trilogy against Derek Chisora.
Bisping added:
“One has to think, I’m not trying to be negative here, if Joshua loses this fight it’s the end of the road.
“What else is he going to do? Will he turn around and try to find his way back to the top? He was there, done, and he had a t-shirt.
“He made a lot of money, he achieved everything you want to achieve by participating in combat sports. If he loses this game, he has lost his last two games and he also loses the title to Andy Ruiz. “
Joshua’s defeat at the hands of Ruiz took place at the Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia and Bisping has no illusions about what threatens the 32-year-old later this month.
“Certainly, those big fights, their chance came. So there’s a lot of pressure on Joshua.”
