Texan Maurice Hooker appeared on the Ortiz-McKinson card Saturday at Dickies’ Arena in Fort Worth. The 27-2-3 Superclass faces Blair Cobbs 15-1-1 in a match that is expected to last 10 games. Cobbs rocked and then took out Hooker at the end of the first season. Hooker beat the count and continued to trade with his men. Aggressive Nampaw Cobbs took down Hooker two more times in the second round – once at the beginning of the round and once at the end. Hooker beat the number on both occasions, but certainly not well. However, the man looked slightly better in the third round, landing well late in the inning.
By the fourth season, Hooker seems to have returned to the fight. Each man throws madly at his opponent. The question is, how many more difficult shots will Hooker be able to do? The fifth part continues to be a slugfest, although Hooker needs to do something notable as he has dropped significantly on cards due to taking three kills. Blair accidentally gets a head butt, which opens a cut, in the sixth installment. With that being said, Hooker went on to have his best inning.
Hooker started to arrive after the seventh part bump, but Cobbs was still able to land well. A second accidental headbutt occurred on Saturday. Hooker then continued to pursue his man throughout the round. “Bring your left foot outside to his right,” Terence Crawford himself told Hooker in the corner between rounds. Cobbs continued to dodge Hooker in game nine while occasionally throwing a pot. Hooker was unable to do anything significant in the chapter. Cobbs then spent the tenth and final inning using a slippery defence. He eventually won the match on the referee’s card by unanimous decision.
