Japan ends the season with a vision of the future


The Japanese Grand Prix is ​​closing an old year with a look forward to a new year—and beyond.

The Hopeful Stakes (G1) race on December 28 at Nakayama Racecourse not only showcases the top 2-year-olds pointing to next year’s classics but this year’s final race for the horses older, Arima Kinen (G1) on Christmas Day, saw 3-year-old first and second place, beating some of Japan’s older stars.
