Jane Fonda says she has non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is being treated: NPR

Jane Fonda announced Friday that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment.
The actress, activist and former fitness guru released an upbeat statement on Instagram, informing followers of her condition.
“I have been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and have started chemotherapy,” Fonda began at length. parcel. “This is a very treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I feel very lucky.”
Fonda added that she will have chemotherapy for six months and she is “handling the treatments pretty well.”

“We are living through the most extreme period in human history because what we do or don’t do right now determines what kind of future happens and I will not allow cancer to stop us. I do all I can,” she wrote.
“Midterms are coming, and they’re out of the question, so you can count on me to be right there with you as we grow our army of climate champions.”
