It took Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham 24 hours to process those Mark Meadows text messages. Here's what they said

So how do Hannity and Ingraham react after all this time of careful preparation? Well, predictable.

First, both Hannity and Ingraham committed crimes and attacked the press. Hannity complains that “nobody” in the media has contacted him, although numerous reporters have reached out to Fox News’ public relations department and were not reached for comment. Ingraham asserts that “the regime’s media” has “twisted” the meaning of her text messages to come up with a dishonest story.

More importantly, both Hannity and Ingraham claim that their text to Meadows matches what they tell their viewers. “I’ve always been consistent on January 6th,” Hannity told viewers. That is technically correct. Hannity condemned the violent behavior that took place on January 6 on the night of the attack, and he has been in segments ever since. Same with Ingraham.

The problem is that both Hannity and Ingraham also sought to acquit Trump of any responsibility for the attack, arguing that it was not actually his supporters who were responsible for the violence. Ingraham led her show on the night of the attack by suggesting to her audience that there were “reports” that “antifa sympathizers” may have been “scattered throughout the crowd.” .” And while Hannity didn’t get that far, he pretended he didn’t know who was responsible. “I want to know who the agitator is,” he said that night.

If Ingraham thinks “opposition sympathizers” are responsible for the attack, why should she fear that violence is harming MAGA’s cause? Wouldn’t it simply encourage it? If Hannity isn’t sure who the agitators are, then why does he want Trump on TV to appeal to them? Of course, the answer is very obvious. Fox propagandists knew exactly what happened on January 6, but it was their cause and so they did everything to sow suspicion.

That continued into Tuesday night. While Hannity didn’t even explain the view that Trump might be held accountable for some, he did ask for an investigation into Nancy Pelosi. Meanwhile, Hannity and Ingraham attack Liz Cheney, Hannity repeatedly calling for all of her communications to be made public.

Geraldo’s plea

Not everyone at Fox was there to buy the story Hannity was selling. Geraldo Rivera appeared on Hannity’s show to discuss the matter, and begged him: “I beg you, Sean, to recall the frame of your mind as you wrote that text on January 6. And when Laura did And when Brian [Kilmeade] did. And when Don Jr. did. Remember that you already have concerns. Remember the disappointment you had with our beloved 45th president. ”

But instead of memorizing Rivera’s words, Hannity brushed them off and continued.
