Isuzu Ute cooperates with Royal Flying Doctor Service


Isuzu Vietnam announced a long-term national partnership with Royal Flying Doctor Service to support Australians living outside the reach of mainstream health services.

RFDS is a national health charity providing 24-hour primary and emergency health care to people living in rural and remote Australia.

Providing essential medical services for nearly a century, RFDS now has a national network of 23 facilities, 79 aircraft and 183 trucking vehicles, and mobile clinics. There are also 2300 employees.

The Japanese automaker’s local division will provide financial support as well as provide a fleet of vehicles including Isuzu D-Max And MU-X vehicle.

These Isuzu vehicles will be used to tow the Flying Doctor’s “modern” training simulators around the country for the school’s Education Program national event.

Isuzu Ute Australia says it will work with RFDS for at least the next three years.

“Isuzu UTE Australia understands the importance of having reliable transport in an isolated and challenging environment, so our D-MAX and MU-X vehicles are the perfect combination. for this sometimes remote work and the long-distance needs of Royal Flying Doctor Services where reliability is critical,” said Isuzu Ute Australia deputy managing director Koichiro Yoshida.

“This new and exciting partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service now enables [Isuzu Ute Australia] to support many of our most regional, rural and remote communities by supporting the incredible work provided by RFDS – and complementing our continued support for Surf Life Saving Australia aims to support and serve coastal communities.”

“It is important to [Isuzu Ute Australia] in response to those who support us, and so this is our way of saying thank you to the Royal Flying Doctor Service for their tireless service and commitment to our community by ways to help them educate students in schools and raise awareness and sponsor events around the country,” he added.

Both the Isuzu D-Max and MU-X recently received updates for 2023 that bring a host of cosmetic and equipment tweaks.

Typical of the changes on both models are a new grille, new wheel designs, as well as new paint and trim options.
