Marcellus Wiley’s thinking consistent with Reid. In his view, Mahomes, or Hill, is the reason for such a strong offensive lineup.
“People think the system is built on Patrick Mahomes, but it is built on the creativity of Andy Reid,” says Wiley. “I fought him when he was in Philadelphia, and I used to have my eyeballs split in two different directions, and say, ‘What the hell did he just run?’ And he doesn’t have a receiver [most of the years] he was in Philadelphia.
“This was a playoff team before Patrick Mahomes got there, and you’re always fighting for the championship with [Mahomes and Reid.]”
