Temu is an online shopping supermarket that offers just about any product you can think of. You can buy car accessories, clothes, small home appliances, outdoor furniture, power tools, baby clothes and everything in between.

But the most striking feature about Temu is that many of the site’s products are extremely cheap. You can buy sunglasses for $2, necklaces for $1, and glow-in-the-dark pet collars for $3. If you can imagine, it’s possible on Temu for under $10.
Temu is the globalized version of Pinduoduo, a Chinese e-commerce company. Like Shein, AliExpress, and Wish, Temu advertises products at low prices and is able to do so because of lower manufacturing costs in China.
But AliExpress and Wish have never attracted American audiences, mainly because product listings are often fake, cheaply made, and arrive significantly later than expected.

Temu launched in late 2022 and quickly rose to the top of the shopping category on the App Store and Play Store. People know Temu from the advertisements and are attracted by the low price of the site.
