IND vs WI: India beat West Indies to complete 3-0 vindication for ODI

India beat the West Indies with 119 runs (DLS) in their third ODI game that was cut short in the rain at Port of Spain on Wednesday to complete a 3-0 vindication.

Shubman Gill missed out on a desirable century when intermittent showers cut India’s rounds short after the 36th round ended. His 98 didn’t come out helping the visitors reach 225/3. Indian captain Shikhar Dhawan was also present with the 58-year-old patient.

The West Indies have been set with a revised target of 257 in 35 rounds. Mohammed Siraj snapped two goals in his first pass to push the West Indies with his back foot.

India’s pitchers took wickets steadily and chipped. Prasidh Krishna’s sacking of rival captain Nicholas Pooran (42) ignited West Indies’ hopes of victory in the bud.

Yuzvendra Chahal finished 4 to 17 while the West Indies finished 137 in 26 rounds.
