I beg you, Nintendo
Nintendo has been trending towards bringing back its classic games lately – most notably the return of Sports series by Nintendo Switch Sportsas well as rumors have spread about an official Game Boy Advance Emulator. The company likes to keep its cards close to the chest, so to speak, because they know well how difficult the classic games are for us fans. But now that Nintendo is finally re-developing, improving, and monetizing our old favorites, I have a simple request: bring Nintendo turn the switch back on.
Nintendo: What is the deal?
For those of you who haven’t played any of these games, or simply don’t remember, let me give you a little extra. Nintendo is a series of real-time pet simulation games released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. Gone, but never forgotten
It was one of the most beloved games at the time of its release, it remains in the collective consciousness of both fans and Nintendo. I mean, the company put Nintendo presenter in its other games over the years, so we know it’s also constantly thinking about its legacy. To me, that seems like a pretty easy and dry win-win situation – fans get a brand new version of one of their favorite childhood games and Nintendo will earn one. Pretty big coin.
I know the touch screen and microphone were a big part of the original’s gameplay Nintendo, but I think they can make some really cool changes to the Switch’s hardware. The first thing that comes to mind is the Poké pitcher in Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee – it’s something simple that translates well to Nintendo, and that’s just the top of my head! Hey Nintendo, I know you guys are very creative, and I’m really excited to see what kind of exciting new spin you can bring to the series these days.
