Hyatt Prive: Little-known program that can give you upgrade points, breakfast, and other perks

While there is no defeat the premium perks of Hyatt’s Globalization positionFor many travelers, it is impractical to accumulate the 60 qualifying nights, 100,000 basis points, or the 20 qualifying meetings or events required to qualify for Globalist.
But luckily, there are plenty of ways to make your next hotel stay more comfortable, even if you don’t keep elite status. Some of my favorite ways to get extra perks in TPG groups include pre-ordering via American Express Fine Hotel + Resort program or Chase’s Luxury Hotels & Resorts Collection. However, both programs are reserved for people with a certain number of premium credit card and unlock some sweet perks like early check-in, late check-out, onsite credit, free room upgrade, free breakfast and more.
Hyatt has a little-known program called Hyatt Prive that offers the same benefits but is open to everyone.. Benefits of booking through Hyatt Prive include daily breakfast for two, free room upgrade (basic room to suite not included), early check-in, hotel credit, etc. However, you Prive vacations cannot be booked without a qualified travel agent’s International Air Transport Association number on his or her World of Hyatt account. And to reserve the Hyatt Prive rate, you can pay a premium.

Which hotels participate in Hyatt Prive?
Like the Amex FHR and Chase LHRC, Hyatt has a lesser-known program called the Hyatt Prive that can give you great benefits at higher-end hotels. This includes all Park Hyatt Hotel, Andaz and Miraval as well as several properties in the portfolio of Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Regency, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and Alila. Benefits of Hyatt Prive
While they’re pretty consistent, the benefits of booking through Hyatt Prive vary slightly by brand. All stays at Hyatt Prive enjoy the following benefits:
- Daily full breakfast for two at the hotel’s restaurant.
- Single room upgrade (from room to room or from room to room) is confirmed within 24 hours of booking based on availability at the time of booking.
- Property credits ranging from $25 to $100 per room per stay (depending on hotel).
- Early check-in (early 9am) and late check-out, subject to availability.
- A welcome and mailing facility.
- Connecting rooms are confirmed within 24 hours of booking, subject to availability.
- Free Wifi.
Staying at Park Hyatt has even more benefits. At these hotels, you’ll get late check-out (no later than 4:00 p.m., subject to availability) and a typical hotel credit of $100 per room per stay. Some Hyatt hotels also offer free airport transfers when you book a Prive rate.

At the Park Hyatt, Andaz, and Miraval hotels, you’ll generally receive all of these benefits regardless of the length of your stay. Meanwhile, participating Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Alila, JDV by Hyatt, Thomson Hotels and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt require a minimum two-night stay.
It’s worth mentioning that these benefits complement any perks you might get for achieving your elite status. So, Hyatt’s Global World Members, for example, can get a further upgrade upon arrival and access to the club lounge. You’ll still earn bonus points and elite qualifying credits as usual.

How to Book a Hyatt Prive Stay
Anyone can book a vacation with Hyatt Prive benefits. This is especially appealing if you don’t need elite status, a special credit card, or a membership in an exclusive program like Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts. The problem is that you can’t book them directly through the Hyatt website without the travel agent’s IATA number.
To book a stay at the Hyatt Prive, you must go through a qualified travel agent. Previously, most registered travel advisors would be eligible to book Hyatt Prive, but in early 2021, Hyatt cut many travel agents from the Prive program. Now, only travel agents who meet a certain quota are eligible.
If you don’t already have a preferred agent, members of the TPG team have had a positive experience with kristen nix and Spencer Howard. There are also favorable online reports about Live Luxe travel agency for Prive reservations.
The Hyatt Prive rate must be the same as the best “standard rate” available. Unfortunately, you may not receive Hyatt Prive benefits when booking with points or special rates, such as World of Hyatt member discounts, AAA, or prepaid rates. Additionally, there are often third or fourth night free promotions when you book at the Hyatt Prive rate, potentially making it cheaper than the standard rate.
Hyatt Prive benefits are effectively applied at all Park Hyatt, Andaz and Miraval hotels, as well as select Alila, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Regency, JDV by Hyatt, Thompson and Unbound Collection hotels. Many of these hotels do not participate in other luxury hotel programs such as the Amex FHR, Chase LHRC or Virtuoso.
Usually, travel advisors do not charge a service fee for Hyatt Prive bookings because Hyatt pays your travel advisor a commission.

Maximize Hyatt Prive Bookings
The stay at the Hyatt Prive is charged directly by the property. As such, the best way to maximize these bookings is with Hyatt World Credit Card. As with other Hyatt reservations, you’ll earn 4 points for every dollar spent at participating properties in addition to World of Hyatt’s regular earnings.
If you are considering more Hyatt World Credit Card into your wallet, it is currently offering a welcome bonus of up to 60,000 bonus points. You will earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 within the first three months of account opening, plus up to 30,000 points by earning a total of 2 bonus points on purchases that normally earn 1 bonus points, up to $15,000 in the first six months of account opening.
While booking through a travel agent can be inconvenient for some travelers, you’ll still earn rewards points and elite qualifying credits for your stay. So be sure to give your offer Hyatt’s World number on Hyatt Prive reservation.
