Husqvarna Motorcycles North America Inc. announced the availability of a road-going 2023 lineup, consisting of the single-cylinder Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401, the 701 Supermoto and 701 flexible single-cylinder Enduro, and the Norden 901 Twin-parallel.

The 2023 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro were made available in November at authorized Husqvarna Motorcycles dealers, while the Norden 901 will arrive in December 2022. The Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 models will be available from May. 1 year 2023 onwards.

2023 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401
Husqvarna says the 2023 Svartpilen 401 is ideal for both urban and rural environments, while the lower bar and sporty tires of the Vitpilen 401 2023 make it suitable for winding roads or commuting. Both bikes have a liquid-cooled 373cc single-cylinder engine that makes 44 hp and 27.29 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed transmission linked to an Easy Shift sensor. allows clutchless gearshifts and anti-slip clutch/PASC assist.
The steel trellis frame, low weight (dry weight approx. 333 lb for Vitpilen 401 and 335 lb for Svartpilen 401) and WP APEX suspension contribute to the bike’s average load-carrying capacity, bronze ByBre brake timing and Bosch ABS provide powerful, controlled stopping. Both bikes have a fuel tank of about 2.5 gal.

2023 Husqvarna 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro
For 2023, the main changes to the 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro are new colors and graphics.
Both models return to the liquid-cooled 693 cc single-cylinder engine making 74 hp and 54.21 lb-ft of torque at 8,000 rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission. with Easy Shift function and Adler APTC slide/assist clutch.
The 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto are equipped with an LCD instrument panel with USB port, RPM display and gear selector indicator. From the wheel, riders can quickly personalize their machine by choosing from two driving modes. Mode 1 on both models delivers sporty throttle response and responsive cornering traction control. Mode 2 of the 701 Enduro provides smooth throttle response with traction control when off-road, allowing the wheels to slide and raise the front wheels.
On the 701 Supermoto, Mode 2 offers more aggressive throttle response with reduced traction control to allow for full slip and control on the slides. The driver can also turn off traction control completely.
The 701 Enduro has a WP XPLOR suspension and the 701 Supermoto has a WP APEX suspension. Both models are equipped with Brembo brakes (with 300mm/240mm front/rear discs on the 701 Enduro and 320mm/240mm on the 701 Supermoto) and a cornering ABS system that can be disconnected.
The 701 Enduro has a dry weight of about 322 lb, while the 701 Supermoto has a dry weight of about 324 lb. Both cars have a 3.4 gal fuel tank.
2023 Husqvarna Norden 901
Husqvarna says the Norden 901 offers “the ideal combination of offroad capability and mobility for those traveling the world.” Our editor-in-chief tested this claim with model review video 2022 after two days of off-road and off-road testing to São Miguel, the Azores, a wet and foggy island in the North Atlantic.
Norden 901 is based on the KTM 890 Adventure platform. For 2023, the Norden 901 features updated ride modes, including the return of optional Street, Offroad and Explorer modes, as well as a Rain mode that replaces Urban mode on the 2022 model. Rain mode has a controllable throttle response with reduced peak power and traction control is implemented at lower rpm. Offroad mode has smooth throttle response and allows the wheels to spin before traction control is activated and the ABS is automatically adjusted to suit the terrain. The optional Explorer mode gives the driver full control over throttle response, peak power and ABS.
