Hey, did you know it’s time for the Olympics again? That’s right, just seven months after the 2021 Summer Olympics (née 2020), the 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing starting on February 4.
Attendance will be sparse, as most fans have been barred from attending, and diplomats from several countries, including the US, boycott the event worry about human rights violations in the Xinjiang region of China. (US athletes are still competing in the events.) Crowded or not, there’s still a compelling number of events.
If you want to catch a lot of them, you’ll need to find a way to tithe to the Olympian gods at NBC Universal. That means subscribing to a TV with NBC in it, or you can watch it on NBC Olympics Website or Sports apps. Official Olympic Channel will also stream, as long as you have an account with one of its many streaming partners like Xfinity, Dish, Spectrum, Verizon, and YouTubeTV, to name just a few.
You can also watch games on NBC’s Peacock streaming platform. It’s $10 a month or $5 a month if you’re willing to deal with ads. (If you’ve forgotten what it’s like to watch TV with commercials, trust me, they’re angry.) Here is a series of major events, mainly the final matches that determine who will get the medal. Depending on your location, some times will be at odd hours, but rest assured that NBC will rebroadcast ad nauseum highlights.

Opening / Closing Ceremony
The opening ceremony is February 4start at 6:30 a.m. ET.
Closing ceremony is February 20 at 7 a.m.
Bobsled
The final round for the female monobob — a new event this year — is February 13 at 9pm. The final two is February 19 at 7:30 am.
The final two men is February 15th at 7:50am. Running four men is February 19 at 9:20pm.
Biathlon
Relay for the 6 km medley medals is February 5 at 3 a.m.
The women’s individual 15 km final is February 7 at 3 a.m. Women’s 7.5 km sprint is February 11 at 3 a.m. The final round of the women’s 10 km chase is February 13 at 3 a.m. The women’s 6 km relay final is February 16th at 1:45am. The women’s 12.5 km finals start at the same time as February 19 at 3 a.m.
The men’s individual 20 km final is February 8 at 2:30 a.m. Men’s 10 km sprint final is February 12 at 3 a.m. The men’s 12.5 km chase final is February 13 at 4:45 a.m. The men’s 7.5 km relay final is February 15 at 3 a.m. Men’s 15 km final is February 18 at 3 a.m.
