The problem with midday sun is that it often creates a very difficult light with ghosting and overemphasizes skin texture. You can sometimes use this to creative effect, but for most client portraits you’ll want to use soft light. While Classic 5 in 1 reflector are also commonly used as reflectors, most of them have diffuser panels built in and they are great for such cases.
