Army dog runs into soldier's arms he hasn't seen in 3 years

Army Special Agent Vance McFarland learns that his former Tactical Explosive Detection Dog, Ikar, has been abandoned. It’s been three years since they last saw each other and a reunion is underway thanks to Mission Canine Rescue and the American War Dogs Association who intervened to return the dogs to their rightful selves.

“I hope he remembers me,” McFarland said as he stood at the airport waiting for the dog to arrive. And the boy will be the dog ever! As soon as Ikar saw his old battle buddy, he ran away and ran into his arms. What a sweet scene! These two have been meant for each other for a long time, as long as they get back together.
