One of the most common and frustrating problems portrait photographers will have to deal with is flying hairs, which can be especially distracting as they glide across your subject’s face. However, you can remove them quickly and convincingly using Photoshop, and this great video tutorial will show you how.

When the flight path passes through a blurred background, lots of bokeh, you can usually just use the clone brush tool or the healing brush tool to quickly remove it, but when it does go through the skin, especially especially the face, you need to be extra careful, as you want to replace it with believable skin textures and tones. While some flight paths are often unavoidable, if you can reduce them while shooting you will avoid a lot of trouble in post-production. Keep a travel-sized bottle Hairspray in your pocket can make a big difference, especially if you take a lot of pictures outside and your customers will appreciate it too.
