Paul Maric, one of the founders of CarExpert, showed us TikTok that the Suzuki Jimny transforms into a bed for two simply by removing the headrest and lowering the seat.
The suzuki jimmy is a two-door, four-seater off-road SUV designed for those who want a Mercedes-Benz G-Class but perhaps can’t afford it.
It’s powered by a pint-sized four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and retails from around $30,000 before on-road costs.
Paul shows us in his video that it’s pretty simple. You start by removing the head restraints in the second row and then dropping the second row into the storage compartment.
Once that’s done, remove the front seat headrests and lower the seat backs as far as they can to the legs of the second row.
And that’s it. You now have room to sleep for two adults. Paul is 1.85m (6’1″) tall and can be fitted by straightening his body.
However, based on what you can see in the pictures, you probably want a mattress to rest on the chair since they don’t lie completely flat. But, beggars can’t be selective when it comes to sleeping in the wilderness!
