During the Miami Heat’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, December 6, star striker Jimmy Butler relapsed to the tailbone injury that has plagued him for the past week.
Butler is enjoying a worthy All-Star season so far, averaging 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 18 games. As a result, the Heat are sitting at 14-11, good for a fourth in the improving East Conference.

What is Jimmy Butler’s wound?
Butler missed Miami’s previous four games with a tailbone injury before returning to the Grizzlies on December 6. A quarter after his first game back, the 32-year-old forward drove the lane. and fell hard on his back, causing the same injury that had left him out of the squad.
He stayed on after the fall but in the third inning, Butler entered the dressing room and never returned, disqualified by the team.

How long will Jimmy Butler be off?
The extent of Butler’s injury is still unknown. As mentioned, he missed the Heat’s last four games before his return and, following a relapse of his injury, he will have to miss even more time trying to make a full recovery from his illness.
