Honda Wave Alpha 2023 updated for Malaysia – now with EFI, larger 4.1 liter fuel tank, priced at RM5,179
Getting the big update for this year in Malaysia is the Honda Wave Alpha 2023, priced at RM5,179 excluding road tax, insurance, and registered with a two-year or 20,000km warranty against manufacturing defects. There are three color options for the Wave Alpha 2023 – Dark Blue, Vibrant Red, and Clipper Yellow.
The biggest change to the upcoming Wave Alpha model is Honda’s addition of PGM-Fi to the Euro 4 compliant SOHC 109.2 cc single-cylinder engine. Wave Alpha output is announced at 8.7 codes. force at 7,500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, going through a 4-speed centrifugal clutch transmission.
According to Honda, according to World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC) standards, Wave Alpha recorded a fuel consumption of 1.41 liters per 100 km compared to the standard version. Also, an upgrade is the under-seat storage space on the Wave Alpha, currently at 7.3 liters, almost double that of its predecessor. The weight of Wave Alpha is listed as 98 kg, the saddle height above the ground is 768 mm.
Regarding the braking system, Wave Alpha is equipped with a single hydraulic disc on the front wheel mechanical drum brake on the rear wheel, with the wheel size – only cast alloy wheels – is 17 inches, comes with 70/90 front tires. and 80/90 rear tire. Suspension is done with telescopic forks up front while the rear is held by twin preload adjustable shock absorbers.
