Another surprise: Viktor Hovland, an 18-1 ranger, took the title strong. He is a target for anyone looking for a high-paying day. Hovland has had a stellar streak in his last eight tournaments with five top 10 finishes in this span. This race started with consecutive wins and Hovland went from 15th in the world to 4th.
The Norwegians are third in the number of clubs achieving near-green and 12th in the number of greens in terms of regulation. But it wasn’t just the short game he mastered as Hovland was also 12th in strokes reached at teeing off.
