Here’s our first look at the New Honda Hawk11

Tomorrow begins the Osaka motorcycle show, a venue that often showcases new models from Japanese OEMs, and one of the highlights we expect to see this year is the Honda Hawk11.

There have been rumors that the Honda Hawk will be back in the Big Red lineup, and that appearance will happen later this week, as Honda is introducing the Hawk11 street bike.

A sport-focused naked that aims to revive the Honda Hawk heritage, this new machine features a distinctly neoclassical appearance that builds on the design language that started with the Honda CB1000R.

Technically, the Honda Hawk11 is said to be powered by the same 1,084cc parallel engine powering the Honda Africa Twin 1100this would come as a surprise since the Japanese brand used a good power supply, also used it in Honda Rebel 1100 and Honda NT1100.

This means that a 100hp machine uses the same chassis setup as what is used on the Africa Twin (as is the case with the NT1100). We expect 17-inch wheels front and rear, and a price tag aimed at moving the unit.

Honda’s dual-clutch transmission is also likely to be fitted, and we expect other electronics like cornering ABS, power assist and IMU-assisted traction control.

Despite the launch in Japan, the Honda Hawk11 is definitely coming to the European market and we expect the car to also come to North America.

We’ll have more details on the car in just a few hours, but until then let the leaked photo above whet your appetite. Keep stable!
