Although Alhaitham is a character with artifacts rather simple needs, there is more room for choice when it comes to his weapons. Depending on your party and your Artifact, you can choose to prioritize his sword’s Elemental Mastery or Critical stat. You can use his weapon to fill any gaps in his stats or enhance his abilities as a DPS Dendro depending on the passive skill.

The light cuts the leaves
As always, a 5-star character’s best weapon would be any 5-star weapon on their banner. It’s their signature weapon for a reason. The Light of Foliar Incision is a great sword for almost any DPS character because of its passive Crit rate and its ability to increase critical damage. For Alhaitham in particular, Light of Foliar Incision increases his damage depending on his Elemental Mastery. And as a Dendro character, Alhaitham will naturally have a high EM. There’s a time limit on the DMG boost, but you’ll likely be using Alhaitham as part of the spin, so this weapon’s cooldown will coincide with the moment you take him off the field.
Refreshed mist separator
Like Light of Foliar Incision, Mistsplitter Reforged is a great DPS sword. You get separate stacks depending on: Basic Attack use (with Elemental Damage); use Elemental Burst; and has less than 100% power. Each stack will increase your Elemental Damage and Mistsplitter will passively increase the user’s elemental damage. This fits well with Alhaitham’s playstyle, which focuses on dealing with Dendro DMG with his attacks.
Toukabou Shigure
Toukabou Shigure is a limited sword from Akitsu Kimodameshi Events. It is an elemental fluent weapon that increases Alhaitham’s damage against enemies with the cursed Parachute mark. This makes it a really good weapon against single enemies. In theory, Toukabou Shigure’s passive doesn’t work well against Alhaitham’s mirror AoE Dendro DMG. In fact, it’s perfectly fine.
Black Sword
Black Sword is available through Gnostic Hymn, which means you have to spend real money to get it. However, if you have it, it’s a pretty good and accessible sword for Alhaitham. It passively increases his Critical Rate, as well as increasing his normal attacks and burst attacks. Alhaitham’s set revolves around those, so it’s a great way to increase his damage.

A good final 4-star weapon for Alhaitham is also his Elemental Mastery revolving weapon. Its passive also increases his Damage whenever he deals Elemental damage, which is almost always the case. It lacks the power of the Black Sword or even Toukabou Shigure. However, it’s more than usability, not to mention it’s free. Because you can forget about it, it’s easy to raise it to R5.
