One of the best things I’ve learned while photographing waterfalls is to not be afraid to get up close (with your safety in mind, of course). You might think that you need tall waterfalls to create dramatic images, but if you pay attention to your perspective, even waterfalls that are only a few feet tall can appear majestic in photos. . This has worked for me living in Ohio, where we have lots of small creeks, but few particularly tall waterfalls, meaning one has to get a little creative.
