Heat’s Tyler Herro is yet to return after breaking his arm


MIAMI — Heat protect Tyler Herro was still disqualified and was eliminated from Game 4 of the NBA Finals as he continued to recover from a broken right arm.

Coach Erik Spoelstra said after Thursday’s practice that Herro was taking all the necessary steps, but he couldn’t get past the final hurdle with Game 4 first Denver nuggets scheduled for Friday night.

“This is just part of the process,” says Spoelstra. “You have to go through stages. The first part of it is just shooting, then moving, then contact with the trainer, and then the next level of exposure in reality. He hasn’t. allowed to enter a game, and he still hasn’t.”

The Heat lead the Nuggets 2-1 in a best-of-seven series.

Herro, who broke his arm in game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against Milwaukee Bucks On April 16, he increased his training for more than a week.
