The GWM Ora The SUV hasn’t received any spec changes for the 2024 model year, but the mid-spec Ultra variant has been dropped from the lineup.
There are currently three versions available in Australia: Standard Range, Extended Range and GT.
Since launching the Ora Down Under, GWM has dropped the price several times, with the base model now $4,000 cheaper than when it first launched.
The top-of-the-line GT and mid-range Extended Range trims have been discounted by $7,000 over the same period.

GWM Ora GT
Known as the Funky Cat or Good Cat in other markets, this small electric car currently holds the title of the cheapest electric vehicle (EV) in Australia, despite competition from BYD Dolphin And Machine gun 4.
Both rivals significantly outsold the Ora, with GWM estimating Ora sales of 592 units in the first half of 2024 compared to 1,248 Dolphins and 2,771 MG4s.

Maintenance and Warranty
The GWM Ora comes with a seven-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, like the brand’s wider range. The battery is warranted for eight years.
Also included are five years of roadside assistance and five years of fixed-price service.
The first five services for the GWM Ora are capped at $99. Logbook services are required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first.
Safety
GWM’s electric hatchback has received a five-star rating from ANCAP, based on Euro NCAP testing carried out in 2022.
The GWM Ora achieved an adult protection rating of 92%, a child protection rating of 84%, a vulnerable road user rating of 74% and a safety assist rating of 93%.
