Umbrella pants. Ball pants. Stand up pants. They are all variations on the same theme with the same mantra: Bigger is better. And they all have a lot of celebrity fans right now, including Bella Hadid, Tracee Ellis Rossand Jennifer Lopez. But fret not if you’re not exactly a geek as there are plenty of more wearable and affordable versions inspired by this trend.
For example, Hadid recently wore a pair of low-rise, low-waisted, low-rise parachute pants. Naturally, she pulled them with a puzzled look. Ellis-Ross, the once-risk-taker, has perhaps worn the boldest version of the trend: Loewe pants that look as if they could fly at any moment. On the other hand, Danish influencer Pernille Teisbaek wear padding that looks like exaggerated ski pants.
