Gundam Ace the magazine will start a new manga series, Mobile Suit Gundam: N-Extreme, starting with the February 2022 issue. This manga is based on Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost arcade game and part of the N-Extreme Project. Takashi Minakuchi will work on the manga. [Thanks, ANN!]
News scarce about what Mobile Suit Gundam: N-Extreme is about or who the main character will be. Takashi Minakuchi often collaborates with a manga author, providing illustrations while the author writes the story. He drew for Mamare Touno’s Houkago no Trattoria and by Shin Araki Hero Class.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost premieres in Japan in March 2021 and is part of the 10th anniversary of the Extreme vs. The game has word units Mobile Suit Gundam arrive Gundam Build Divers, with over 200 units available. You can play this game at video game centers in Japan, and there is no official English version in the works.
Besides a new manga, Sunrise will have a new manga Mobile Suit Gundam anime too. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury will begin broadcasting in October 2022 in Japan. There is no word on whether any English-language streaming services will broadcast, or whether the show will be localized.
Mobile Suit Gundam: N-Extreme will begin publication in the February 2022 issue of Gundam Ace magazine.
