Led by Ja Morant, who is delivering a campaign worthy of MVP consideration averaging 24.4 points, 6.8 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game, Memphis is viewed as a threat in Western Conference.

The Grizzlies will be challenged against the Bulls, who have been one of the biggest surprises in the league, with their best record in the Eastern Conference half of the season. Third quarter
The Grizzlies don’t let the Bulls cover much land, but DeMar DeRozan (12 points) and Coby White (14 points) are doing what they can to keep their team in the game. Memphis led Chicago 66-54 with less than 8 minutes of play in the half.
Round 1: Grizzlies 58, Bulls 45
The Grizzlies led by 13 points in the second half after burning in the second quarter. Memphis shot 0 to 7 from 3 in the first quarter but broke that chilling streak to 7 to 11 from long range in the second half. Desmond Bane is really hot, scoring 15 points in the second half alone to get the highest 19 points in the first half. As for the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan has been quiet but he is starting to move forward. He got 10 points but still shot 4 to 12 from the pitch for the game.
Update on Jaren Jackson Jr.: The Grizzlies forward is back on the bench and ready to return after bumping his knee with a Bulls player.
Let’s run 15-3 for the Grizzlies! Memphis continued to widen their lead, to 36-23 with 7:19 left in the first half . Surprisingly, most of the game went to Ja Morant on the bench. Desmond Bane was the trigger, having 16 points in a 7 to 10 shot from the field to give the Grizzlies the lead.
Bad news for Memphis: Jaren Jackson Jr fell after slamming his knee with a Bulls player and walking into the locker room. We will provide updates as they become available.

End of the first quarter: Grizzlies 20, Bulls 20
We’re all square after a quarter in Memphis. Coby White scored the first eight points of the game for the Bulls and that total leads all scorers. Ja Morant’s five points lead the Grizzlies, while reserve Brandon Clarke also chipped away with five. Neither team shot the ball well from the outside, as the Grizzlies won 0-7 and the Bulls won 2-7 from 3 in the first inning.
The two superstars in this match started quite slowly when Ja Morant (5 points) and DeMar DeRozan (0 points) were both silent. However, Morant just had a powerful and unique finish that could ignite the fire when the Grizzlies led 13-12 with 2:28 to play in the frame .
Coby White started the game, scoring the first eight points for the Bulls. He buried a 3-pointer and was followed by two strong hits to make it 8-8.
