Commonwealth Games 2022, results in India on Day 4: Women’s Rugby Final at India Women’s Court; Ajay Singh finished fourth in Weightlifting

Here are all of India’s results from Day 4 (August 1) of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Grass bowl

The Indian Lawn Bowls women’s four-ball team made history by reaching the final of the 2022 Commonwealth Games event, defeating New Zealand in Birmingham. Team India consisting of Rupa Rani Tirkey, Lovely Choubey, Pinki and Nayanmoni Saikia overcame New Zealand with a score of 16-13 after 15 Finish. It will face South Africa in the final on Tuesday at 04:15 pm IST.

Boxing

Amit Panghal of India defeated Namri Berri of Vanuatu 5-0 to reach the quarterfinals of the men’s Flyweight division.

Weightlifting

Ajay Singh finished fourth in the men’s 81kg category with a total lift of 319kg, lifting 143kg and 176kg respectively in the recoil and jerk events.

Swimming

Sajan Prakash of India finished seventh in the men’s 100m butterfly with a time of 54.36. He is out of competition for the final.
