“Good progress” is being made in ongoing discussions to secure a fight between Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker.
Two highly ranked heavyweights need to stay active while the headline picture plays out this month through the summer.
“It was a big war. We’re still negotiating – it’s not finalized yet but good progress is being made,” S-Jam Sports’ Adam Morallee, who represents Joyce, told Sky Sports.
“It was the biggest war apart from the top four fighting. It’s the biggest battle in the heavyweight segment right now. “
Joyce is recovering from a wrist injury and hasn’t fought since he was 6order overtime victory over Carlos Takam last July.
Parker, the former WBO heavyweight champion, has won in a row over Dereck Chisora in his last two bouts under the guidance of new coach Andy Lee.
