Get Details About Fallout 76 Expeditions Before Entering The Pitt – PlayStation.Blog
Fallout 76 players are about to venture into new territory. This September, the Expeditions update takes players to a dangerous location outside the wilds of Appalachian: The Pitt!
Built on what remains of Pittsburgh before the War, The Pitt is a rudimentary place. The local Alliance faction is besieged on all sides as bloodthirsty Raiders and once-human Trog beasts close in, so grab your friends, pack your best gear and steel … it’s time to join an Expedition.
Get ready and go out
“Exploration missions are random and repeatable story-based missions on the scale of our most epic end-of-line missions, such as the Vault 79 raid at the end of Wastelanders.” Steve Massey, Lead Designer on Fallout 76’s Expeditions explains. “We have developed a new Mission Module system that allows us to easily randomize and recheck mission objectives to make each playthrough of the mission feel truly unique and coherent. smoothly into the overall mission story.”
Players can tackle quests alone or in a group with up to four people – with friends or by using the new Public Exploration Team feature included in the update. Players can earn a unique item plan once a week when completing an Expedition, as well as collect Stamps to receive specific items from the rewards. Players can also earn repeatable rewards including Legendary Items, Scrips, Treasurys, and even an entirely new method of obtaining Legendary Modules.
Back to Pitt
Of course, there’s more to Expeditions than just precious loot. Expeditions allows Fallout fans to visit The Pitt for the first time since the 2009 DLC added to Fallout 3. With Fallout 76 set before the events of Fallout 3, Expeditions offers both possible exciting quests and quests. replay, but also gives players the chance to truly explore Pittsburgh in a fascinating age of Fallout lore, seeing the city in a new light… and previewing its coming darkness.
“The team is passionate about allowing players to explore other parts of the Fallout universe outside of Appalachian in this unique time frame, just a few decades after the Great War,” continued Massey. “Pitt was an obvious choice for the first city to visit, because in Fallout 3 it was such a bleak and unforgiving scene that you asked yourself, ‘How did things turn out this way? should it be this bad?’.” Going forward, Expeditions’ format also gives us the opportunity to take players to entirely new locations in the Fallout universe that have not been touched by the current game. this “.
Go alone or with a group – just be ready
While any player can sign up for Expedition alone or in groups, be warned: It can get dangerous. It is recommended that you reach Level 50 or higher first for the best experience entering The Pitt, with greater challenges awaiting solo adventurers than those with a few friends. .
“Like the other high-level story-based missions in the game, Exploration missions are combat-tuned to be satisfying – but not overly punitive,” Massey said. “Players should be well equipped, but all enemies drop ammo and relevant Stimpaks to keep them on the battlefield.” Want to play with someone on a different level? Nothing to worry about: Like other content in the game, enemies in expeditions will scale based on the player’s level. “A low-level player can accompany a high-level friend on a quest and both will experience an appropriate level of difficulty,” Massey assured.
New player improvements
Speaking of newer players, the Expedition update also includes other improvements to the game like a tweaked boot device and other additions that benefit those Vault Dwellers who have just stepped out of Appalachia.
“Whitespring Resort has been completely refurbished into a player center called Whitespring Refuge,” Massey said. “Players will take part in the Refugee Daily Quest, experience the brand new random encounter system, and repair/buy/craft almost anything in the game they want in the Whitespring Mall area below. Additionally, the update comes with a lot of frequently requested quality-of-life changes, including the ability to fast-travel directly into the interiors of frequently-visited locations like The Whitespring and The Rusty Pick without spending any Caps. “
