Fallout 76 players are about to venture into new territory. This September, the Expeditions update takes players to a dangerous location outside the wilds of Appalachian: The Pitt!

“Exploration missions are random and repeatable story-based missions on the scale of our most epic end-of-line missions, such as the Vault 79 raid at the end of Wastelanders.” Steve Massey, Lead Designer on Fallout 76’s Expeditions explains. “We have developed a new Mission Module system that allows us to easily randomize and recheck mission objectives to make each playthrough of the mission feel truly unique and coherent. smoothly into the overall mission story.”
Players can tackle quests alone or in a group with up to four people – with friends or by using the new Public Exploration Team feature included in the update. “Whitespring Resort has been completely refurbished into a player center called Whitespring Refuge,” Massey said. “Players will take part in the Refugee Daily Quest, experience the brand new random encounter system, and repair/buy/craft almost anything in the game they want in the Whitespring Mall area below. Additionally, the update comes with a lot of frequently requested quality-of-life changes, including the ability to fast-travel directly into the interiors of frequently-visited locations like The Whitespring and The Rusty Pick without spending any Caps. “
