Georgia Bulldogs beat TCU to repeat college football champion : NPR

The University of Georgia Bulldogs show why they are best team in college football – Again. With a relentless and dominant performance in the national championship match, Georgia defeated Texas Christian University with a score of 65-7. end invincible and repeat as national champion.

TCU appeared as a huge loser and the team has no answer for Georgia. After the game had started, Georgia blocked TCU’s opening move, and then scored the first with a hasty 21-yard touchdown by senior quarterback Stetson Bennett. The Bulldogs made their way down the field in less than three minutes, piercing the TCU defence.
It is a sign of things to come.

The UGA was forced to fumble in Horned Frogs’ next offensive attempt and the goal resulted in another score for Georgia – a goal 24 yards from the field to make it 10-0 at half-time.
But the third ranked TCU answered in the next drive. Full-back Max Duggan marched with Horned Frogs 75 yards to score. Like Georgia QB, Duggan, Runner-up Heisman, rushed to make a touch to cut Bulldog 10-7 lead. That will be the only point of TCU in the game.
Georgia responded immediately with Bennett’s touchdown pass from 37 yards to extend the lead to 17-7. Bulldog’s defense stopped TCU in the ensuing series and then marched 92 yards for another hasty touchdown from Stetson Bennett to lead Georgia 24-7 in the second half.
A Duggan intercept led to another Bulldog touch before halftime.

Georgia simply prevailed to take a 38-7 lead at halftime, scoring on all six points in its possession (first team to do so in the knockout stages). The Bulldogs made 354 fouls in the round and averaged 9 yards per play.
TCU started the second half on a positive note – forcing Georgia to play the game. But Horned Frog’s attack was thwarted and the Bulldogs continued where they had left off – with another touchdown pass from Bennett to extend the lead to 45-7.
With 11 minutes left in the third inning, the game was basically over.
Bulldog full-back Stetson Bennett would make six touchdowns (two dashes and four passes) and be out of the game 95 seconds into the fourth inning.
Georgia entered the competition undefeated (14-0) and was the defending national champion. Led by Bennett (a former walking QB), Georgia overwhelmed the Southeast Conference – the best conference in college football. Georgia was ranked first for most of the season.
Texas Christian is a private university in Fort Worth, Texas, with Admissions about 12,000. It appeared in the title game with a 13-1 record and Big 12 Conference champion. Before the season started, TCU was selected to finish seventh in the game and was the 200 to 1 to win the national championship. But the Horned Frogs have surprised countless football fans all season with their ability to win. They couldn’t get past Georgia in the most important game of the year.
The Southeast Conference dominated the Division I FBS college football knockouts. Since 2014 when CFP started, an SEC team has won the title six times. Before Georgia, no team had repeated the national championship in the CFP era.
A notable Bulldog has not been seen winning. The famous Georgian mascot, Uga X, did not make the trip to southern California for the championship match. Bulldogs are a common fixture at games in Georgia wearing UGA uniforms and hanging out in the side air-conditioned dog kennels. his owner said WTOC . television Cross-country flight would be too difficult for a 9 year old bulldog.
It can be said that Uga X will enjoy the upcoming victory parade in Athens, Ga.
