An error in The Genshin effect is keeping the back of the new Ningguang skin looking the same. MiHoYo announced in-game that an issue was preventing “Orchid’s Evening Gown” from appearing properly. It also notes that the problem will be fixed when the 2.5 update arrives. That is expected to appear in mid-February 2022.
To see the announcement, everyone will enter the game. They can go to Notifications from the in-game menu. Update on the new The Genshin effect Da Ningguang appeared in the “Update Summary”. The following report appeared there.
There is a problem that the shadow on Ningguang’s back is displayed abnormally after she changes into her “Orchid’s Evening Gown” outfit. This issue will be fixed in Version 2.5.
Other issues that will be fixed in 2.5 include an issue in “Where Hearts Find Rest, where Lumine will appear incorrectly as Aether in a cutscene.
For comparison, here’s how the two available Ningguang skins look from behind. Part of her shoulder blades can be seen under the straps of her Gold Leaf and Pearly Jade dress. The The Genshin effect Orchid’s Evening Gown’s fault can be seen in the blue dress.
As a reminder, Orchid’s Evening Gown is a free skin. Everyone can earn it by participating in 2022 Lantern Rite. You will get the skin if you get 1,800 Conquest Charms, 2,200 Immaculate Charms, and 2,400 Wealth Charms. You can also get a free four-star character from Liyue, of which Ningguang is one, by getting 1,000 Noble Charms and 1,000 Conquest Charms. You can only get Conquest Talismans from the Oceanic Defender activity, starting January 31, 2022.
The Genshin effect available for PS4, PS5, PC and mobile devices. It will also appear on the Nintendo Switch. Lantern Rite activities will take place in the game until February 12, 2022.
