In recent times GASGAS MotoGP team launch ceremony held in BarcelonaBoard member Hubert Trunkenpolz has clearly stated his intention to produce street motorcycles under the GASGAS brand in the near future.
Pierer Mobility Group acquired the Spanish brand at the end of 2019 and brought it under the umbrella of the KTM brands. Less than 12 months later, GASGAS has launched a new series of motorcycles.
2021 sees a Moto3 entry under the GASGAS brand alongside the popular MXGP, Trials, Rally and AMA SX/MX Championship teams.
After achieving success in Dakar in 2022, GASGAS formed the Moto2 racing team and launched dual sports cars and large displacement supercars, the ES 700 and SM 700.
Now for 2023, GASGAS joins MotoGP with Team Tech3 whose bikes will be raced by Pol Espargaro and Augusto Fernandez.

“Having two Spaniards with our old friend Pol and with a rookie – Augusto – I think it’s a perfect fit.
