Fujifilm launches X-T5 mirrorless camera and Fujinon XF 30mm f/2.8 . macro lens


Fujifilm fans, rejoice! The company has announced the X-T5, the latest mirrorless camera in their popular and respected X Series, and it comes with some impressive new features and upgrades. They also announced the Fujinon XF 30mm f/2.8 Macro lens, which offers a versatile focal length and high magnification.


The X-T5 is the fifth generation of the XT series of cameras, and it comes with a host of new features and upgrades:

  • In-body 5-axis image stabilization with up to 7 stops of compensation

Look for the X-T5 which will be available later this month with a suggested price of $1,699.95 for body only$2,099.95 when combined with the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS and $2,199.95 when combined with the XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR.

With a full-frame equivalent focal length of 46mm, the XF 30mm f/2.8 Macro offers a standard prime in tandem with true 1:1 macro capabilities. It comes with a wide range of features, including:

  • 1:1 maximum magnification (minimum focus distance: 3.94 inches)
  • 11 elements in 9 groups
  • Three aspherical and two ED glass elements to reduce distortion and aberrations and increase sharpness
  • Internal focusing system for focusing speed as fast as 0.02s
  • Weight: 6.88 ounces (195 g)
  • Length: 2.74 inches (6.95 cm)
  • Dust and weatherproof design with nine seals
